What this PPP price calculator does
The raw model is deliberately transparent: base price × target affordability ratio. A $9.99 base price at a 60% ratio produces a raw $5.994 target. The selected price-ending rule then turns that into a planning price.
Unlike an exchange-rate converter, this tool assumes the ratio already represents the relative affordability you want to model. It does not label an illustrative ratio as a current country statistic.
How to choose an affordability ratio
Use a current and documented source, then decide whether its output fits your app, category, audience, and growth strategy. PPP is a starting signal—not a promise that one formula maximizes revenue.
- Record the source and date of the index.
- Set guardrails so very large changes require extra review.
- Compare the suggestion with current conversion, retention, tax, and refund behavior.
- Revisit the strategy instead of treating a country multiplier as permanent.
Map the estimate to a valid store price point
Apple and Google do not treat the modeled number as the final answer. App Store Connect uses supported price points and a base-country or region workflow. Google Play also applies supported price ranges, taxes, and country-specific rules. Always inspect the exact store output before publishing.
Read “revenue-neutral lift” as a threshold, not a forecast
If a modeled price falls by 40%, each paid conversion produces less gross revenue before taxes and store fees. Holding every other variable constant, you would need about 66.7% more paid conversions to offset that difference. Real outcomes also depend on retention, renewal, refunds, taxes, fees, and product mix.
Move from a scenario to a controlled pricing change
Use the calculator to pressure-test the idea. Then fetch current store products and price points, apply a documented strategy across territories, review the deltas, and publish only the approved changes. Price Localize by Glipo is built for that connected workflow across App Store Connect and Google Play.
Methodology and official references
The arithmetic on this page is performed locally in your browser. No price, ratio, or result is submitted to Price Localize. Store behavior can change, so use the linked Apple and Google documentation as the final authority for store configuration.
